Full Moon Magic for Standing Rock on November 14

The Standing Rock Sioux tribe in America are still under threat from the Dakota Access Pipe Line project. Recent news that the project has been delayed hasn't stopped the oil company planning to drill under Lake Oahe. This pipeline is set to run half a mile from the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation, through tribal treaty lands and sacred burial sites. If it goes ahead, it will to pass under the tribe's only water source, which also serves 17 million people downstream along the Missouri River. The battle to stop it has not been won yet.

There is a call for witches and other magical practitioners all over the world to combine their efforts on the night of the full moon on Wednesday, November 14, to protect the land, the tribe and the protesters. Wherever you are, you can work magic in whatever way you choose - whether that is lighting a candle and making a wish or doing a full ceremonial rite.

If you are in London, you could sign up to join London Woodland Witches and Outdoor Pagans, who are doing an outdoor ritual on the banks of the Thames, invoking the Tamesa Serpent for the protection of water. On Wednesday, December 14, at 7pm they are meeting at the Tate Modern green, outside the Tate Modern and Bankside Gallery in London. At 8pm they will go down to river bank for a ritual.

Please note that this is not a social - it is serious magic - and you do need to sign up for this event in advance. You can find the details here: https://www.meetup.com/London-Woodland-Witches-Outdoor-Pagans/
