The BBC's website has a couple of interesting new things about historic witch hunts.
First, on the BBC History page, there is a feature called "The real witch hunters: Hopkins and Stearne". Following the release of the movie Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, this article is about 17th century Matthew Hopkins and John Stearne who persecuted women for witchcraft: http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/0/21548716
Second, you can take part in a quiz to see if you would have been accused of being a witch if you had lived a few hundred years ago. It is by Professor Owen Davies, who also wrote America Bewitched, which I reviewed earlier today. You can try out the quiz here: http://www.historyextra.com/witchtest
