Book Review: Witchitorium - A Glossary of Magic

Someone just starting to learn about witchcraft recently asked me where they could look up terms they came across. Luckily, I'd just seen a copy of Witchitorium - A Glossary of Magic, Witchcraft and Spirituality. I immediately recommended it.

Witchitorium is a new title by one of my fellow authors, Nixie Vale, and is published by Moon Books. It's a mini encyclopedia of esoteric facts. This is the official synopsis:

"A one-stop-space for all your witchy jargon needs! Whether you are new to witchcraft or an experienced veteran, at times there are words and terms that catch you off guard. Witchitorium brings together a diverse collection of terms that you may come across on your path through the craft to provide insight and understanding."

You might be asking why use a book rather than just look a term up online. Most of us Google stuff these days, and it's fast and easy. However, you can come across a huge amount of incorrect information there too - increasingly so in these days of AI overviews which notoriously struggles to differentiate between fact, fiction, or popular misconception.

Witchitorium, on the other hand is well researched and trustworthy. I'd say it's more aimed at beginner witches than those who've been practicing the craft for years, but can still be useful if  you've specialised in one path of witchcraft but come across a more obscure term from another.

About the Author.

Nixie Vale is the creator of Ramblings of a Rainbow Witch. She began her spiritual path with Wicca, and has also studied a wide range of things from Ancient Egyptian, Ancient Greek, Ancient Norse and Ancient Roman beliefs and practices. She has also written articles for Magical Recipes Online, The Spooky Isles and others.

You can view Witchitorium on Amazon.
