I've been sent details about an eight-week course in shamanism that is running in London this autumn.
Adventures in Shamanism is an eight-week Monday evening course offering a comprehensive introduction to the worlds of the shaman.
It aims to help students discover where and why shamans go when they "journey"; learn how to journey and meet spirit helpers and power animals themselves; explore the history and traditions of shamanism; discover how the shaman works with song and dance and with the spirits of nature and with power, to heal and renew.
The course runs from October 5 to November 23 on Monday evenings from 6.45pm to 9.30pm at The Open Centre, London EC1V.
Bookings made before Sept 1 are £150, after this date are £165. Students, senior citizens, disabled and unwaged qualify for the concessionary rate of £125. A 50% deposit is required to secure a place.
