Forbidden Rites - a book on traditional witchcraft

I've just received a copy of Forbidden Rites: Your Complete Introduction to Traditional Witchcraft - a new book by Jeanette Ellis, a witch with 20 years' experience of running covens and organising open rituals.

The blurb says:
"Forbidden Rites deals with the subject of traditional rather than Wiccan Witchcraft, though it can be used by anyone wishing to deepen their knowledge. It takes the reader on a journey through an initiate's period of self assessment, with visualisations, practical work, anecdote, ritual and power control. It teaches the reader about the Goddess, God, the festivals and tools
that you will need. It suggests the best way of making them, and details the use of gems, herbs, oils, runes, amulets, formularies, and familiaries. Forbidden Rites is comprehensive, packed with well-researched information and can serve as a reference work with the initiation period has ended."

I'm definitely looking forward to reading this book and, when I have, I will review it on A Bad Witch's Blog.

Forbidden Rites: Your Complete Introduction to Traditional Witchcraft, published by O Books, is available through Amazon
