News: Vandals fell Glastonbury Holy Thorn Tree

Vandals have chopped down The Holy Thorn Tree of Glastonbury, a tree that, according to legend, sprouted from the staff of Joseph of Arimathea 2,000 years ago.

This breaks my heart. Why? WHY? I just don't get it... Why would anyone cut down such a beautiful, magical, not to mention, OLD, tree? It makes my heart hurt.
