An evening class called Adventures in Shamanism: Making the Shamanic Journey is starting in London in October.
The six-week Monday evening course offers a comprehensive introduction to the world and work of the shaman. It is a chance to explore the history and traditions of shamanism and learn where shamans go when they 'journey' and why. Those taking part will learn to journey, meet spirit helpers for themselves and others, and to work with the spirits of nature and with power to heal and renew.
Course facilitator Zoë Brân PhD said: "The adventure can transform lives as participants learn to become their own shaman."
The course is open to anyone who would like to experience shamanism for themselves, including those already experienced who would like to renew their practice.
Making the Shamanic Journey runs from 10 October to 14 November on Monday evenings between 6.30pm and 9.30pm at The Open Centre, 188 Old St London, EC1V 9FR (pictured).
The course costs £175, but concessions are available on request. To book, email info@shaman.uk.com or 07847 894453. For further details of all events http://www.shaman.uk.com/
