The Mind Body Soul Experience is an event that's running all this weekend at London's Olympia.
I popped along yesterday because I managed to get a free ticket, courtesy of OM Yoga magazine, and I really enjoyed it.
In the picture above you can see a quiet corner for meditation and behind it a stall demonstrating the Vita-Mix food processor, where they were giving away free cups of freshly made fruit juice, soup and ice cream. I do like free things.
The event has a large exhibition area with stalls offering things such as readings, complementary therapies, jewellery, ethnic clothing, divination sets, books on mind, body and spirit matters and guided meditations. There is also a full programme of workshops and lectures on topics including yoga, meditation, psychic abilities and personal development, as well as music and dancing performances on the stage.
It has to be said that most of the things at the show have a cost on top of the entrance ticket price, but some are free. For example, as well as the juice, I picked up a complimentary copy of Prediction magazine, got offered a short relaxation yoga session and had a life reading done by a very nice Christian - even though we didn't exactly agree over his assessment that I should repent from being a witch and seek salvation in Christ :)
