Tonight is Solstice Eve and tomorrow the sun rises on the Winter Solstice. This midwinter festival, one of the most important festivals of the year for pagans, is also called Yule or Alban Arthan. The moment when the sun reaches its turning point of the winter is 5.30am, according to the online pagan calendar, but you might prefer to get up a bit later and greet the dawn, which takes place at 8.04am.
I am travelling to Avebury stone circle, in Wiltshire, to celebrate it, and I intend to take lots of photos. I hope I'll be able to get an internet connection while I'm there - otherwise I'll be posting them on my blog as soon as I can.

Yule Blessings and have a lovely time celebrating in magical Avebury. I suspect I will more likely see the sun rise than be awake at the actual point of the solstice tomorrow somehow!!
