Events: Candle Magic Talks and Workshops in London

I'm running a candle magic workshop at Treadwell's Bookshop in London this Sunday and while I'm delighted that all the tickets have been sold, I realise that those who wanted to come along but couldn't will want to know about future dates.

Well, Treadwell's has asked me to re-run the class on Thursday 11 August in the evening, from 7pm to 9.15pm. It will soon be listed online, but you can probably book a place before that if you visit the shop at 33 Store Street, Bloomsbury London, WC1E 7BS. If you want to buy a copy of my book, Pagan Portals - Candle Magic, you can order it from Treadwell's via this link:

Candle magic is a basic and central skill in the repertoire of pagans, in accordance with traditional spellcraft. My workshop covers basic techniques and a few advanced ones too. Everyone gets a chance to prepare a candle or two to take home with them, with all materials supplied. Tickets are £20, which includes all the candles needed.

I'm also going to be giving a talk about candle magic at the Pagan Federation London Conference on Saturday 20 August. The theme of the conference this year is Magic and Mind and I will be talking about how candles can help us get into the right frame of mind for magic to work as well as how candles can be used for scrying and divination.

The conference venue is Westside School, 8-30 Galena Road, Hammersmith, London, W6 0LT. It runs from 10.30am to 6pm and is a day full of talks, workshops, ritual and music as well as an esoteric market. Tickets are £12 for PF members and £18 for non-members.
