The latest issue of the Folklore Podcast, by Mark Norman, is all about traditional witchcraft. It is called Traditional Witchcraft Then and Now and examines to what extent the role and the techniques of the Traditional Witch have changed over the past 200 years.
Mark looks at the lore and practices of cunning men, wise women, pellars and wayside witches who use folk magic as a practical craft or trade. Traditional witches have historically provided magical services for people, such as healing, protection or divination, rather than as a religious practice and often consider themselves to be separate from modern pagan witches.
