Yuletide Poem: Capturing the Mood of the Season

As December approaches and the lights of winter festivals are starting to appear, here's a poem I've written especially about this time of year.

The Mood of Yuletide

How do you capture

The Mood of Yuletide?

For me, it is seeing

The lights go on

In other people's

Windows,

And wondering

What they are wishing

As I walk home

On dark streets.

This coming Friday, December 3, at 4pm I'll be giving a free online talk on Facebook Live about magic for December. I'll be talking about how we celebrate the start of winter and the festive season. There'll be folklore, spells, crafting and Yuletide inspiration. You can find the link here: https://www.facebook.com/events/599072997878843
