Charity Shop Find: Black Tea Set for Halloween & Scrying

I got this octagonal black tea or coffee set in a charity shop for just £1! I think I was extremely lucky. Having done research I think it's vintage and made in France from something called Arcoroc, which is a type of toughened glass.

There are five cups and six saucers in the set I bought, so I suspect someone donated it to charithy after breaking. Anyway, five cups would still be brilliant to serve drinks in when friends come around at Samhain or Halloween. I don't mind that there's an odd saucer as it would make a good extra dark mirror for scrying!

As anyone who reads my blog will know, I teach the art of scrying with crystal balls, dark mirrors, fire and water at regular workshops. The next one's at Treadwell's Bookshop, 33 Store Street, Bloomsbury London, WC1E 7BS, on Saturday 21st October. You can find the details here.  I'm also the author of Pagan Portals - Scrying, which you can get at Treadwell's and via my publisher Moon Books.
