Tuesday 14 October; The Confidential Life of Doctor Dee. Talk by Nicholas Dakin on John Dee's secret work on alchemy, magic and angels. Last in The Mortlake Lectures series of four talks. Venue: St Mary the Virgin, Mortlake High Street. Doors open at 7pm, lecture starts at 8pm. Tickets £7 on the door; joint ticket of all four lectures £25.

Saturday 8 November; Witchfest International. One of the most popular gatherings of witches in the world, featuring talks, workshops, a market, live music, food, a bar, a late rock club, dancing and much more organised by The Children of Artemis. 10am to 1am.
