Now until 21 March; The Dark Monarch. Art exhibition named after an infamous 1962 book entitled The Dark Monarch: A Portrait from Within by Sven Berlin. It explores how folklore, mysticism, mythology and the occult have influenced British art in the past 100 years. Venue: The Towner Art Gallery, Devonshire Park, College Road, Eastbourne, BN21 4JJ. Thursday 11 February; Jack Gale: A-TO-Z-OMANCY - The Game of Chance and the Speaking of the Landscape. A talk by Jack Gale who will be discussing how shamanism, chaos magic and earth mysteries meet the A-Z.
