Pagan Eye: Dandelions

My neighbour's garden is a carpet of dandelions and felt I had to photograph them. I tried taking a wide-angle shot to show just how many there were, but I didn't feel the picture looked as good as this close-up of just one dandelion, with a few out-of-focus flowers in the background.

Dandelions are everywhere at this time of year - though most people don't have quite as many as my neighbour! If you do have a lot in your garden, apparently the leaves are excellent as part of a salad - just treat them as you would other salad leaves and chop them up with a dressing.

I've chosen this picture of cheerful and useful weeds as a Pagan Eye post.

On each Pagan Eye post, I show a photo that I find interesting, with a few words about it. If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself and you must confirm that you are submitting it for A Bad Witch's Blog.

... and make sure you are not far from a loo. They're very diuretic!
