Druids and other pagans will the presenting a petition of protest to the offices of the Daily Mail at noon tomorrow, Monday 11 October.
This is in response to an article by Melanie Philips criticising the fact that Druidry has been classified as a religion by the Charity Commission.
James Sunbird Carrington created a petition calling for Ms Philips to make a full public apology for the offence her comments caused. The petition has already received more than 3,000 signatures from people of all faiths across the world. The petition can be viewed and signed at http://www.petitiononline.com/druid1/petition.html
According to the Pagan Federation London website, the petition will be handed to the Daily Mail office in London on Monday October 11, at noon. James has invited all pagans to join him to hand it over. There will then be a march to the Press Complaints Commission, where a second copy of the petition will be handed over.
Sadly, I won't be able to be there, but if you go please leave a comment about how it went. I'd also be delighted to receive any photos of the event to post on my blog. You can email me at badwitch1234@gmail.com
