Thursday 17 March; PFL Spring Equinox Open Ritual. Venue: Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, Holborn, London. Turn up by 7.30pm for pre-ritual social. The ritual starts at 8pm. Saturday, 19 March; Free and Open Gorsedd Vernal Equinox Rite/Alban Eilir at Avebury stone circle, Wiltshire. A druidic style ceremony to welcome in the spring and celebrate the reawakening of the land as the days lengthen. Meet at the Red Lion pub from noon for the ceremony at 2pm. Offerings of song, poetry, bread/cake and mead are welcome. This is a free, open ritual.
Sunday, 20 March; Anderida Gorsedd Spring Equinox open ritual at the Long Man of Wilmington, Sussex. Meet near the car park between 1.30pm and 2pm for a walk up to the chalk hill figure at 2pm. Afterwards back to the Giants Rest pub in Wilmington for a social drink together.
Sunday, 20 March; Understanding the Spring Equinox. An intensive one-day course on symbolism, folklore, custom and magic with Wiccan priestess and researcher Suzanne Corbie. Monday 21 March; Stonehenge Spring Equinox 2011. English Heritage usually offers open access to Stonehenge stone circle, in Wiltshire, at dawn for the Spring Equinox. The details of open access at Spring Equinox 2011 have not been confirmed yet, but free access is likely to be allowed at dawn on 21 March, from approximately 5.45am to 8am.
