Garden foxes: vixen and cub

One of the things I love about springtime is watching foxes and their cubs in my back garden. They are so entertaining - bounding about with such playfulness and love of life. They might trample my plants, but I feel that is a price worth paying for such a wonderful spectacle that I can watch from from my own bedroom window.

The photo above shows a mummy vixen resting in a sunny spot in the late afternoon while her cub (pictured below) plays with a ball in next door's garden. The adult fox was clearly aware of me - but didn't seem at all afraid.

Wonderful indeed! I wish I had the luck to play host to foxes; they're a rare sight in Florida.
