News: Wicca Is Now a Religion According to Booksellers

Wicca is one step further on to being generally recognised as an official religion. The Book Industry Study Group, which decides what categories books are sold under, has reclassified Wicca under the Religion section rather than placing it as a Mind, Body and Spirit topic.

This happened at the end of 2012 when the BISG issued its new list of category codes. At the same time it issued a new code for paganism and neopaganism, also under the religion category.
