TV: The Time Traveller's Guide to Elizabethan England

The first in a three-part documentary series on BBC2 on Friday evening called The Time Traveller's Guide to Elizabethan England examines witchcraft in the 16th century as well as looking at how common people lived.

The description in the Radio Times says: "And could it be that witchcraft is legal, with the church employing witches?" I'm going to watch and find out.

The programme is on at 9pm on BBC2 on Friday 31 May. Presenter Dr Ian Mortimer is also the author of a book of the same title.
