Pagan Events in London Today, Bank Holiday Monday

If you are looking for something witchy to do in London today, Bank Holiday Monday, here's a few suggestions:

At 11am you could go on A Tour of Southwark Cathedral Herb Garden with Julie Wakefield, a museum curator and medical historian specialising in historic herbalism and folk medicine. This event is organised by South East London Folklore Society and takes place at Southwark Cathedral, London Bridge, London SE1. Cost is £1.50. Email georgehoylefolkmusic@gmail.com to book a place. Treadwell's esoteric bookshop at 33 Store Street, London WC1E 7BS, is open from 11am to 6pm on Bank Holiday Monday. Bookseller Marco Visconti says anyone is welcome to pop in, browse books and get reading recommendations. The nearest Tube is Goodge Street and it is close to the British Museum, which is always worth visiting.

Festival of the Dark Arts is showing British Witchcraft Documentaries at the The Underdog Gallery, Arch 6 Crucifix Lane, London SE1 3JW, starting at 6.30pm. Details and tickets: http://www.guerrillazoo.com/second-coming.html

However, the Witches of London CoA Gathering, which normally meets on the last Monday of each month, has been moved to Tuesday. It meets at the back bar of the Cittie of Yorke at 22 High Holborn, London, WC1V 6BS starting at 7.30pm. However, due to the pub being closed today, because it is the August Bank Holiday, the moot has been moved to 30th August - but that's something fun to do tomorrow night.
