Pagan Eye: The Sun Tent at Druid Camp

I've spent the past few days at Druid Camp and this photo shows the amazing painted sun tent, which was one of the workshop spaces. I had a wonderful time and, as you can see, the weather was glorious.

Although I was working there as a volunteer offering free tarot readings in the divination space and also running a workshop on vegan haruspicy (that's reading the entrails of vegetables), I did manage to get to a few other workshops, including one run by Sheena Cundy with a pathworking based on her lovely Magic of Nature Oracle Set.

Sheena was there with her band Morrigans Path, who were performing on the Friday night. The main band on the Saturday night was Space Ritual, with Nik Turner, ex Hawkwind. Every day there was a talk by an eminent druid. I particularly enjoyed hearing Philip Shallcrass talk about the history of the ogham and the inspiration for his own Druid Ogham Oracle. I was also delighted to meet so many people who had been friends on Facebook but who I had never before met in person, including Sheena and also Nimue Brown, author of Druidry and the Ancestors.

It was the first time I had been to Druid Camp, but I had such a wonderful time I am sure it won't be the last.

On each Pagan Eye post, I show a photo that I find interesting, with a few words about it. I'm not quite sure what I'll be including - it could be a seasonal image, a pagan site, an event, or just a pretty picture. If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com. Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself and you must confirm that you are submitting it for A Bad Witch's Blog.
