Charging Spell Candles by the Light of the Supermoon

The full moon tomorrow is a Supermoon! What's more, it is the biggest Supermoon for decades.

That's perfect for doing any kind of magic, including candle magic. If you don't have a specific need - or time - to  do a spell, you can always use the power of the Supermoon to cleanse and charge candles to use at a later date.

All you need to do is get a batch of unused candles that you might later want to use for spells or rituals or as votive lights. Hold them up to the light of the full moon during the evening and say:
May these candles be cleansed by the light of the moon.
May these candles be blessed by the light of the moon.
May these candle be charged by the light of the moon!
Then leave the candles on your windowsill or outdoors where they will be bathed in moonlight all night long. When you burn them later, the Moon's power will infuse your magical work.

The precise time of the full Moon is 1.52pm GMT on 14 November, but as that's early afternoon so you will have to charge your candles the night before - which is tonight - or later in the evening tomorrow. That's OK though, as the power of the full Moon will still be around.

A Supermoon happens when the Moon passes close to the Earth and appears bigger than normal in the sky.

You can read more about candle spells and rituals in my book Pagan Portals - Candle Magic.
