Pagan Eye: Upcycled Plastic Bottles as Art & Light
This work of art is made from recycled bottles and low energy lights. It is by David Batchelor and is called Festdella. I photographed it at the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne last year. I was reminded of it when I heard that the theme for Earth Day 2018, which is on Sunday 22 April, is to help end plastic pollution.
Obviously the goal is to generally use less plastic, but I've been trying to think of interesting ways to recycle the plastic packaging that we already have. I remembered this artwork, which I had photographed at the time because I thought it was a really good idea.
My Pagan Eye posts show photos that I find interesting - seasonal images, pagan sites, events, or just pretty pictures.
If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself.
