Pagan Eye: Art Inspired by the Sun and the Moon

With a full moon today and the Summer Solstice less than a month away, here is photograph of art inspired by both the sun and the moon.

It is part of a free exhibition called We Stared at the Moon from the Centre of the Sun, which is on at the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne until June 3.

Curator Haroon Mirza said: "The title...draws on the circular symbolism inspired by astral bodies such as the Moon and the Sun. With its powerful significance in ancient rituals, nature, cycles of physical phenomena, and endlessly recurring shapes and symbols."

My Pagan Eye posts show photos that I find interesting - seasonal images, pagan sites, events, or just pretty pictures.

If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself.
