Crafting: If You Find My Heart, Take It With Love

If you find my heart, take it with love.

For the past few months I’ve been involved with a crafting project to spread love in the world with random acts of kindness. A group of knitters, sewers and crocheters are making heart key-rings and other heart-shaped gifts, then leaving them in public places for people to find and take as gifts.

Earlier this week I upcycled some sparkly fabric and created the heart key-ring you can see in the pictures. I used a cookie cutter as pattern and cut out a pairs of hearts from the fabric. I put the pieces right sides together, sewed three-quarters of the way around the edge, turned it right side out, stuffed it, then finished sewing the edge. Finally, I sewed the metal key ring to the top.

I left my heart at a charity book table. If you find it and like it, please take it. I will be making more in the run-up to Valentine’s Day this Friday.

The crafting project is organised by Pat McNally of the Rainbow Healing Sanctuary. She writes a blog at http://artfromtheheart1.blogspot.com and you can email yourcreativeself@outlook.com if you want to find out more or get involved.
