With so many festivals cancelled this year, I am delighted that the Faerie Festival is definitely back in September. I've got myself a ticket for the Saturday and I'm really looking forward to it.The family-friendly festival celebrates the magical world of faeries with mystical entertainment and uplifting workshops as well as a market. It is a three-day camping event on the Sussex Downs near the picturesque village of Alfriston, running from 10-12 September. Tickets range from £27.50 for one day plus a night's camping for an adult to £77.50 for the entire event with three nights' camping. Children's tickets are cheaper and under-5s go free. Also, all tickets from the 2020 event are valid for the new 2021 date.
Live music and entertainment this year include Medicine, Perkelt, The Fabulous Red Diesel, Spriggan Mist, Nova Halo, Across The Sea, Davey Dodds, Matthew Callow, Carys, Scott and Maria, Lyz Le Fay, Experimental Sonic Machines, Pixiephonic, India Blue, Martin, Pans Demonium, The Pentacle Drummers, and Vagabond Essentia.
The Faerie Market features traders from across the UK selling handmade items, gifts, crystals, art, tarot readings, treatments, healing and more. A variety of food stalls are open from 7am to 11pm daily. All the food stalls use compostable cutlery and plates. There is also a bar.
