Poetry of Witchcraft: Goddess Who Lights the Way

I wrote this poem as a prayer after drawing a card from a goddess-themed oracle deck. I have not named the goddess here, because I felt the poem is more about archetypal goddesses than any specific deity.

A Goddess Who Lights the Way

You are not my culture,
yet I am drawn to see
your inner strength
and deep resolve.

Times are not
as hard for me
as they could be,
yet I wish to learn
to be as wise
as my years.

The summer night
seems full of stars
and you among them
to light the way
as the season turns.
