Books: Endorsing Word Witchery: The Path of Poetry

Word Witchery: Walking the Path of the Poetry Priestess, by Katie Ness, is officially published in a few weeks' time, but I was lucky enough to read the manuscript when the author finished writing it. It's a wonderful first book and I happily wrote this endorsement:

“In Word Witchery, poet and priestess Katie Ness celebrates the power and magic of words from ancient past to modern paganism. The first part delves into the history of how language is connected to magic. The second contains spells and rituals, including Goddess invocations, poems for esbats and sabbats, healing rites, and charms for protection or to attract what you wish to manifest. There are instructions for bibliomancy, or divination with books, as well as guided visualisations to let words take you on spiritual journeys. My favourite chapter is ‘The Lost Voices of the Feminine Divine’, which explores female esoteric writers and poets since ancient times. This book is a well-researched study of the magical power of words, a grimoire of beautifully phrased spells and rituals, and offers oodles of inspiration for literary creativity.”

Word Witchery  is officially published in October by Moon Books
