Book Swapping: Feats & Wisdom of the Ancients

Many stations have swap shelves where you can leave unwanted books, then take others that interest you. I've often mentioned the one near me, which always has a wonderful selection of free reads. Yesterday I went there to drop of a few I'd finished with, but couldn't resist browsing for something to take away. I found Feats and Wisdom of the Ancients - Library of Curious and Unusual Facts.

It was published by Time Life Books in the early 1990s, as a volume in a series of part-works. These kinds of collectable encyclopedias of the unexplained were really popular back in the day before the internet. I still get a nostalgic pleasure just from looking at them, and I'll enjoy reading this before I take it back and swap it for something else again.

Don't forget that local libraries are a wonderful resource for books you can read for free too. In my borough, you can find my Pagan Portals titles on Candle MagicGuided Visualisations, and Poppets and Magical Dolls, and my novel Erosion. I've blogged about it in the past, with a link. I'm just as happy when people borrow my books from the library as when they buy them.
