Event: South East London Folklore Society

Tonight, April 9, the South East London Folklore Society is hosting an English folk dance and song society film night.

The EFDSS will be showing a selection of short films from the archives, including 'Oss Oss Wee Oss', which captured the May Day 'Obby 'Ose celebration at Padstow in 1953 and 1960s as well as singing and dancing in the Barley Mow pub in Suffolk.

This is a rare chance to see a movie recording of genuine English folklore.
