Pagan Eye: The Pool in the Wood

For this Pagan Eye post, here is a picture of a man-made pool I saw while walking in woodland in Kent. I suspect it was originally made for horses to drink from, but it seemed to have an air of mystery about it and reminded me of The Magician's Nephew,by C S Lewis, in which a boy discovers magical pools that transport him to other worlds.

It was a cold day when I saw the pool in the picture, and the water looked a bit murky, so I didn't jump in to see if it was a gateway to a magical realm!

On each Pagan Eye post, I show a photo that I find interesting, with a few words about it. I'm not quite sure what I'll be including - it could be a seasonal image, a pagan site, an event, or just a pretty picture.

If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself and you must confirm that you are submitting it for A Bad Witch's Blog.

Ahh, curiosity is killing me; I want to poke at it with a stick and see how deep it is!

What a wonderfully mysterious thing to find in the woods.

I took the photo on a walk a couple of years ago - I can't remember the exact location, but it was in north west Kent, not too far from Bromley.
