Can you see the strange beam of blue light in this photograph taken at the Rollright Stones? It was captured by Lorraine Pastra, an Australian witch, while she was visiting England.
Lorraine is a friend of Pat from Plant yr Yd Coven, who has also sent me some fascinating photos and information about folklore and occult history.
Pat said: "It is quite an amazing picture to be caught on film, though Loraine and I tend to be able to capture some good shots when least expected at sites. One of the best results that we have had are of purple/violet `earth energies` at a neolithic site called the `Devils Ring and Finger` in Staffordshire. We have caught these energies on separate cameras of different makes, so a `fault` on one or the other would not be on both."
I've not visited the Rollright Stones yet, although doing so is on my list of things I want to do this year. I wonder if I'll be able to photograph anything quite as mysterious as that beam of blue light?
