Pagan Eye: Pink Rose From My Garden

I wish I had a way of posting the scent of this rose on my blog as well as the photograph. I picked it from a rose bush in my garden. It grows next to my front door and will soon be covered in huge pink blooms which smell glorious.

Symbolically, all roses can represent love, but pink roses are considered to be more suitable to give to a friend or a female relative just as a token of friendship, admiration or gratitude.  They can seem a bit overly-sentimental, but I love them because they were my mother's favourites. Pink roses were also the first colour of rose to be cultivated, as they are the most common growing in the wild.

On each Pagan Eye post, I show a photo that I find interesting, with a few words about it - a seasonal image, a pagan site, an event, or just a pretty picture. If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself and you must confirm that you are submitting it for A Bad Witch's Blog.
