Here are photos taken by two of my friends - Karen Padley and Stuart Knight - who went to Stonehenge to watch the sunset on the eve of the Summer Solstice and sunrise at dawn. I had been intending to go with them - I've long wished to get to Stonehenge to celebrate a solstice - but I am so skint after my holiday in Orkney last week that I didn't have the money for the train fare. Maybe next year.
Seeing these photos that my friends took has made me just a little bit jealous. Thanks very much Karen and Stuart for letting me post them on my blog - and thanks to the wonders of modern technology that I can see and share them so quickly.

Oh how I wish to go to Stonehenge one day and to do it would be truly amazing!!!
