Pagan Eye: Witches & Wicked Bodies

Yesterday afternoon I went to the British Museum to visit the Witches and Wicked Bodies exhibition that is currently on there. I took this photo of the gallery and you can see it was popular, but not overcrowded.

I really wanted to go to this exhibition when it was on in Scotland last year, but just couldn't afford the time or money to travel from London, so I was delighted when I learnt it is now so close to home. I certainly wasn't disappointed at what was on show either - it is a great collection of prints depicting witches from around the era of the witch craze. In the evening, I went to a talk about the exhibition and I'll be posting a write-up of that later.

Witches and Wicked Bodies is a free event and is on until January 15 at the British Museum, Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3DG. You can also buy a catalogue of the prints.

On each Pagan Eye post, I show a photo that I find interesting, with a few words about it - a seasonal image, a pagan site, an event, or just a pretty picture. If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself and you must confirm that you are submitting it for A Bad Witch's Blog.
