Pagan Eye: Trees Signs in Abbots Wood
Here is a photo I took in Abbots Wood, Sussex, where I went for a walk over the festive holiday weekend. I always love to do a woodland walk at this time of year as it is the perfect antidote to the crowded shops and a bit of exercise to walk off the rich food.
Abbots Wood currently has a series of signs giving information about different types of trees, what wildlife they house and what humans use them for - including stuff about what makes a good Christmas tree. The signs were put up by the Forestry Commission, which manages the woods. They are mainly written with children in mind, so if you want to help youngsters learn about trees this would be a great place to take them for an outing over the holidays if you are in the area.
On each of my Pagan Eye posts, I show a photo that I find interesting, with a few words about it.
If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself and you must confirm that you are submitting it for A Bad Witch's Blog.
