Pagan Eye: Walk in an Autumn Wood

Here is a scene from a woodland walk I took last weekend. This tree with bright yellow leaves stood out from the rest of the forest, where most of the trees were almost bare except for stands of evergreen pine.

I was looking for a fallen pine bough to take home to decorate for Yule, which is something I like to do every December. Sadly I didn't find one - I guess I should have waited for the storms that were due to hit just a few days later. I'm sure if I went back now there would be fallen branches all over the ground and far fewer leaves on the trees.

I don't know who the people are in the photo, but it is lovely to see a family with children wrapped up warm and enjoying the season as autumn turns to winter.

On each Pagan Eye post, I show a photo that I find interesting, with a few words about it. If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com. Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself and you must confirm that you are submitting it for A Bad Witch's Blog.
