I saw this little nest of eggs on the ground under a tree outside my local station yesterday. I didn't touch them - and didn't have a good camera with me either, although I took the best picture I could with my ancient phone.
Do you recognise them? Are they real eggs and a real little nest, fallen from the tree or are they a fake set abandoned after some Easter celebration?
If they are real, then I can't imagine a bird would be able to rescue them, but I didn't know what to do except leave them alone. What do you think I should have done?

I don't reconise them, and it looks to me like they are way to big for that nest, if they hatched the chicks would be way to big for that nest. But I may be wrong .

They look like the ones I bought in a pound shop for Easter. The eggs look too big for the nest and if it had fallen out of a tree the eggs would have fallen out, so my guess is it's an ornamental nest
I think their fake they stick out like a sore them no cover. And if they fell out of a tree they would fall out and break
