Familiars: My Cat Helping Me Craft a Witchy Wreath

Here's my cat Tommy helping me do some crafting. I saw a basket of mini broomsticks for 25p each in a post-Halloween sale and got the idea of making them into a witchy wreath to go on my wall.

The idea is that I'm going to tie them securely into a pentagram, using twine at the places where the brooms cross, then hang them on the wall using that mini stag-head hat-rack you can see in the photo to the right. That cost me £2 in a charity shop on the same day I bought the broomsticks. Quite a day of bargains I reckon.

My cat Tommy decided I needed his help. You can see him sitting on the table in my witchy room in the picture on the right, and climbing into the pentagram in the picture above.

Yes, I know that the tag "Familiars" in the title isn't accurate. I'm using it in the affectionate sense rather than the historic sense. Historically, familiars were spirits sent by the devil to aid witches in mischief-making.

My Tommy is a flesh-and-blood witch's cat who just wants to be involved in everything I do, when he isn't outside doing real cat stuff. Mind you, Tommy is pretty good at mischief-making without being a spirit sent by the devil.
