Pagan Eye: Waden Hill near Avebury

Here is the third photo sent to me by Paul Niven. It shows Waden Hill, by the Kennet, in Wiltshire. I have already shared his first two photos showing a hollow tree and Avebury stone circle. Waden Hill is just south of Avebury henge and overlooks the Avenue. According to Historic England, the crest of Waden Hill contains a cemetery of nine round barrows. I am really enjoying seeing pictures of places I can't get out and visit during the current lockdown. Thanks so much to Paul for sending in his stunning black and white images.

On each Pagan Eye post, I show a photo that I find interesting, with a few words about it - it could be a seasonal image, a pagan site, an event, or just a pretty picture. If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself and you must confirm that you are submitting it for A Bad Witch's Blog.

The photo is copyright Paul Niven.
