Here's a mandala I created from autumn leaves. Right at the start of the year I decided to return a project I did in 2017. I made a mandala each month using flowers and other found objects, inspired by the book I edited, Every Day Magic - A Pagan Book of Days. This year I decided to do a mandala for each season from leaves, flowers, berries and other natural things.
Creating a mandala from things found in nature is a meditation on what is happening in the Wheel of the Year as the seasons change, but it's also a reflection on our own feelings as we are making them. To me, this shows the beauty I see in the world around me even though plants are dying back at this time of year. I might live in an urban area, in London, but cities are places that nature can thrive and be enjoyed.
