Here's a really easy upcycling craft to turn corks into clips to keep bags shut. All you need is an old cork, a sharp knife (I used a bread knife) and some bags of stuff you've only half used and want to keep closed.
Cut a slit in the top of the cork then cut a second slit next to that, angled slightly towards the first cut. Remove the excess cork. Now you have something that will work like an old-fashioned clothes peg. Just put it over the folded top of a packet.
In the picture you can see me using them on bags of spices, incense, and a witches' tea mix.
