The book starts with the history of magic, giving a well-researched but concise overview. Further chapters cover magical theory, how to put that into practice, what to do after you've cast a spell and ends with some great examples to try out.
While Spellcraft and Spellwork is primarily aimed at those wanting to learn to do effective magic, even old witches like me can benefit from a refresher course on the basics. I really enjoyed reading this book and hope to see more work by Ariana in the future.
