A Poem for Beltane: We Walk Through Bluebells

One of my resolutions this year was to write a poem for each of the eight festivals in the Pagan Wheel of the Year. Beltane is today, May 1st. I wrote this  a few days ago, while walking in a bluebell wood, with this festival in mind.

We walk through bluebells.
Winding paths in woods with
greening leaves and blossom,
white but falling.  Soon over.
These moments do not last,
but the warm sun and scents
of springtime remind me now
of days when I was always young.
