Pagan Eye: Crocuses and kindred spirits

I was walking back from the shops and taking my usual shortcut through the park when I saw these lovely crocuses. I had to put down my bags of groceries and get out my camera to photograph them.

As I was doing so, a very old lady, who I often see walking a little Scottie dog in the park, stopped and started chatting with me.

"How lovely, crocuses, one of the first signs of spring," she said. I agreed.

"Do you like nature?" she then asked.

"Oh yes," I said.

"So do I," she replied. She paused, then added: "I've long done with organised religions - nature is my religion now and has been for a long time."

"Me too," I said.

"I thought you were a kindred spirit," said the old lady. "I always know a kindred spirit."

Now I have absolutely no idea if the old lady - who I had only said hello to in passing before - is a witch or just a nature lover. It doesn't really matter. It is lovely to know that there are plenty of kindred spirits around.

On each Pagan Eye post, I show a photo that I find interesting, with a few words about it. I'm not quite sure what I'll be including - it could be a seasonal image, a pagan site, an event, or just a pretty picture.
