Pagan Eye: Swan With Attitude
I love this photo. It was taken by my husband when we tried to have a picnic by a lake. It seemed like the perfect spot - a lovely stretch of grass leading down to the water where swans, ducks and geese were happily swimming.
It turned out that the water fowl were quite accustomed to picnickers and knew just what to do. Like a scene from Hitchcock's The Birds, they flocked towards us, waddled out of the water and practically mugged us for our sandwiches. And when a swan gets that insistent, you don't argue.
My husband actually took that photograph about a month ago, but yesterday we returned to the same spot armed with crusts from a loaf of wholegrain bread. We wisely had our own lunch elsewhere.
On each Pagan Eye post, I show a photo that I find interesting, with a few words about it - it could be a seasonal image, a pagan site, an event, or just a pretty picture. If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself and you must confirm that you are submitting it for A Bad Witch's Blog.
