Photograph of London Druids Shortlisted for Awards
Time to vote, people. No, not the US midterm elections - time to vote for the 2019 British Photography Awards.
Sara Hannant, the lovely photographer behind the books Of Shadows: 100 Objects from the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic and Mummers, Maypoles and Milkmaids: A Journey Through the English Ritual Year, emailed me to say that her picture of the Druid Order, Autumn Equinox at Primrose Hill has been shortlisted for the 2019 British Photography Awards.
I've shared it above and I think it is a brilliant image showing modern pagans with London skyline in the background. I do hope it wins the prize!
You can see it on the 2019 British Photography Awards website and cast your vote if you want to here: https://www.britishphotographyawards.org/2019-Shortlist/Documentary/The-Druid-Order-Autumn-Equinox-Primrose-Hill-London-/52f087d8-1fe9-42e6-8730-2b823c59afe9
