This skull and bones on a small coffin is one of the works of art on display in the lobby at Kensal Green Cemetery Dissenters' Chapel during London Month of the Dead. I was at Kensal Green at the weekend running workshops on candle magic and poppet making, but also enjoyed looking at the exhibition of art relating to death. The crypt beneath the chapel is also open for exploration by anyone attending events there this month
Throughout October, London Month of the Dead is a month-long festival of weird and spooky events, many taking place at in Kensal Green Cemetery Dissenters' Chapel or Brompton Cemetery as well as other London burial grounds. There are talks, workshops, guided walks, ghost stories and other entertainment. Tickets for individual events are £12-£25. You can find the full programme here: https://londonmonthofthedead.com/index.html
My Pagan Eye posts show photos that I find interesting - seasonal images, pagan sites, events, or just pretty pictures. If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself.
